Tāke Tuia will guide you on your journey regardless of your starting point and provide a safe space. Our goal is to give you the confidence to learn and encourage everyone to improve their capability.
Tāke Tuia supports management and staff to understand tikanga or cultural practices so you can engage better with staff, the local community and Māori stakeholders.

Treaty of Waitangi Awareness
Tāke Tuia provides consultancy and training for businesses and organisations looking to upskill or create awareness of Te Tiriti o Waitangi (Treaty of Waitangi). We will help you understand or meet Crown and Government requirements for engaging with Māori, Pacifica or vulnerable communities with understanding and empathy.

- Training providers such as Rural Education Activities Programme (REAP)
- NGOs & social service providers
- Government Departments
Under legislation, organisations and their staff are required to have an understanding or awareness of the Treaty of Waitangi. Māori make up many of the deficit statistics, and our leading organisations need to have an understanding of the treaty and its effect on Māori alongside the impact the treaty has had locally. What does intergenerational trauma look like and how does its legacy impact those that work in this field? These are the issues that we will guide you through as part of the Treaty of Waitangi Training.
